Privacy Policy
TechnoDecibel and its connected businesses (collectively, “TechnoDecibel,” “us,” or “we”) are dedicated to safeguarding your personal information. The goal of this Privacy Policy is to ensure that you understand: I what information we collect about you from your use of our websites and products that can be used to identify you (“Personal Data”); (ii) how we use that Personal Data; and (iii) your rights and choices regarding the Personal Data we collect.
- The Information We Gather and How We Gather It Your visit to our website and sub-sites (“Sites”) generates some data that is automatically collected or “processed.” Other data is only processed if you voluntarily provide it to us (like using our web forms to get in touch with us or uploading content to our Sites).
- Information Collected During Your Visit to Our Sites: Your computer automatically sends technical information to our web servers when you visit TechnoDecibel’s Sites, which we preserve in log files. When you access or travel around our Sites, the following information is automatically gathered (“Website Usage Data”):
- the date and time of your visit, as well as the length of time you spent on the Site;
- your device’s IP address and your internet service provider (ISP);
- your referral/exit URL;
- the Site’s visited sub-sites;
- the search keywords you employ;
- the links you click;
- information about your device (type of device, browser type and version, as well as settings, installed plug-ins, and operating system).
We utilise Website Usage Data to help you explore the Sites and maintain their functionality, as well as to undertake site performance evaluations, enhance the Sites and correct mistakes, ensure IT security and system operation, and prevent or detect misuse. We then aggregate or encrypt this information in order to analyse trends, operate the Sites, and ensure the security of our IT systems while also ensuring the user experience on our Sites. Our legitimate interest in monitoring and enhancing our Sites and Products is our legal basis for processing Website Usage Data.
Data we Process from Your Use of our Products: The following TechnoDecibel products are covered by this Privacy Policy: LVA, LVA-I, RA7, QA5, QA7, Sense Risk and InTone (“Products”).
When you install and use Products, neither TechnoDecibel nor its Technology Partner receive any automatic information.
- In order to give you with an activation licence for certain of our products, we need to acquire a unique system ID created by your system (s). A collection of integers make up this one-of-a-kind key. It will be utilised and stored for as long as you are a user in our systems so that we can supply you with computer activation codes. When you are no longer a user, you may request that these numbers be removed.
- Your current Product version may be included in certain of our databases, allowing us to offer updates and upgrades when appropriate.
- Your name, address, and phone number are stored in our accounting systems for a period of seven years.
- We may use data you provide to us manually during the installation process (such as Your OS, PC configuration) and other data you provide to us during the registration process (such as your name, email and phone number, System ID) (“Product Registration Data”) to keep a record of your Product licence (that is, authenticating and periodically verifying your licencing rights in the Product for anti-piracy purposes) and to enable the service.
- When you reactivate your licence to use some of our Products, we will gather information about how you use our Products and the extent of your usage in order to establish the reactivation fee. As part of the re-licensing procedure (“Product Usage Data”), you manually give this information. We utilise Product Usage Data to I compute your bill and (ii) statistically assess and verify your use of our products and services in order to enhance our products.
- We only process additional data if you provide it to us: You can provide us with more Personal Data by using our Sites or Products:
Data from voice. As part of their usual functioning, all products should be able to gather and process speech data, which is exactly what we do. You also have the option of providing voice samples for assessment to us or to other parties. If you choose to provide your voice data to TechnoDecibel, we will only receive and review it. If you send us voice data, you confirm that you got it in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, that you have the necessary rights to send it to us, and that you will compensate TechnoDecibel for any breach of the aforementioned. Unless you expressly asked that we preserve this data for future examination or we are obligated to do so to comply with relevant laws, we will destroy voice data contributed by you promptly upon conclusion of the services for which you gave the voice data.
Customer Support Information: You can contact us through the various web-forms and chat functions available on our Sites. For example, you can utilise the contact forms to request technical support, order status information, or otherwise communicate with our customer support staff. We will process your contact information as well as the substance of your request in order to react to it.
Survey Data: We may conduct surveys on our products and services from time to time. You are not obligated to take part in a survey. You may, however, provide us with Personal Data about yourself if you answer to a survey. Unless you specify otherwise, we will only use your information to determine the sorts of Products that you are interested in.
Data from Email/Direct Mail Campaigns: From time to time, we may contact our customers and partners directly by mail, email, or phone to advise them of improvements, new goods, promotions, or special offers that they requested (including our newsletters). However, unless you have given us your previous approval, we will not contact you with any commercial messages that are unrelated to the Products that you have purchased from us. You may have the opportunity to contribute personal information while responding to one of these campaigns, which we will use for the stated reason.
Special Collaborative Programs: In order to provide you with a unique product or service (a “Collaborative Program”), we may partner with another firm. We will disclose to you the specific Personal Data we will share (such as voice stream and contact information) and for what purpose before sharing with our collaboration partner, and we will limit our use of your Personal Data to the specific Collaborative Program that you have joined or elected to use.
Applicant Data: If you want to work at TechnoDecibel, you may apply online by emailing your CV to an email address that will be publicised throughout recruiting drives. We will only use the information you provide in your application to respond to it. After you submit your application, your resume will be erased instantly.
Business Contact or Sales Prospect Data: If you are interested in purchasing Products and have provided Personal Data to us, we will store your information in our database so that we can follow up on previous business conversations, provide you with more information about our Products, or assist you in purchasing our Products in the future.
Transmitting Your Personal Data to Third Parties
We will only share your personal information with third parties as mentioned below. For promotional reasons, we do not share Personal Data with other parties. Our affiliates, collaborators, and/or service providers that will process your Personal Data have committed to follow rigorous contractual obligations to preserve your data’s security (including compliance with this Privacy Policy).
- Affiliated Companies and Partners: TechnoDecibel is supported by a global network of partners. In the normal course of business, we exchange statistics and sales data with our partners, as well as information about our commercial potential. If you have shown an interest in purchasing a Product, we may share your Personal Data with our partners so that they can work with you to finalise the transaction.
- Service Providers: TechnoDecibel sends data to third-party service providers that help us run our Sites and sell and deliver our Products. Our Service Providers include particular Telecom and VAS Partners, as well as firms that assist us with transaction processing, such as SMS and Cloud Telephony. In conjunction with our internal business operations, we may share Personal Data with independent auditors working on our behalf for anti-piracy or revenue accounting purposes.
- If TechnoDecibel goes through a business transaction, such as a merger, an acquisition by another company, or a sale of all or a portion of its assets to which this Privacy Policy applies, your information will most likely be among the assets transferred, and we will notify you in advance via email and/or a prominent notice on our Sites of such change in ownership or use of your Personal Data, as well as any choices you may have (including, if applicable, your right to object to transfer of your data to the acquiring party).
- Public Authorities: We may be required by law to disclose Personal Data, such as when we have a goodfaith belief that doing so is necessary to comply with a current judicial proceeding, a court order, or litigation or other legal process or action (whether or not initiated by TechnoDecibel) to protect TechnoDecibel, its partners, our users, or third parties’ rights, property, or safety. Only in the event of a legal duty to do so based on a request for information from the applicable authority, will we communicate data to public authorities such as law enforcement or tax officials.
- Timeframe for Retaining Data
We keep your Personal Data for as long as it is required to meet our contractual or legal requirements. As a result, we keep the data for as long as our contractual relationship with you as a client or partner requires it. We shall only retain Personal Data to the extent and for as long as relevant law demands after our contract has ended. When you, as a customer, unsubscribe from our Products or other services, all other data will be destroyed promptly. If the remaining data is no longer required for the performance of legal responsibilities, it will be routinely erased, unless continued processing is required for the preservation of evidence or the avoidance of time-barred legal claims. If you have asked that we evaluate your voice data, it will be erased as soon as we have completed the service you requested. To be clear, once you’ve purchased a Product, we keep track of the information you gave us about it so that we can offer you with continuing assistance. If you have shown an interest in purchasing a Product, we will keep your information on file unless you tell us differently so that we can help you in doing so in the future.
- Rights in Relation to Personal Data Processing
- As a data subject, you may have certain rights in relation to the processing of your personal data, which are outlined below. These rights are limited by relevant laws, are subject to exclusions, and, in certain situations, are contingent on the processing activity that we do on your behalf. We have not listed all of the restrictions and exceptions here.
- Right of Access: the right to be informed about the personal data we process about you and to seek access to that data;
- Right to Rectification: the right to request that we alter or update your personal data if it is erroneous or incomplete;
- Right to Erasure: the right to have your personal data erased if: I it is no longer needed for the purposes for which it was collected, or (ii) you have withdrawn your consent (where the processing of your personal data was based on consent); (iii) you have successfully objected (see right to object below); or (iv) ithas been processed unlawfully.
- If the processing of personal data is required to comply with a legal obligation or for the establishment, exercise, or defence of legal claims, we are not bound to comply with your request to erase personal data.
- Right to Restrict: you have the right to ask us to cease processing all or portion of your personal data temporarily or permanently.
- Right to Object: you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data for direct marketing purposes, as well as the right to object at any time to us processing your personal data based on our legitimate interests if you believe your fundamental rights and freedoms outweigh our legitimate interests.
- If you object, you give us the chance to show that we have compelling legitimate interests that outweigh your rights and freedoms.
- Right to Data Portability: you have the right to seek an electronic copy of your personal data.
